I OF COURSE prefer Obama to any ass backwards corporate enabling, hate spewing Republican out there, but this lament rings true. If Obama really wants to bring about the change he promised, it’s time to get tough and maybe a little bit dirty. That’s what Republicans did when they dismantled this country, so it’s only fair that we call their bluffs and fight dirty if need be, too. Unfortunately, the health bill for now is unbelievably watered down, but there’s still time to fix it later in the term, and there are so many other issues, like financial reform and global warming and JOBS legislation, that we need a tough, progressive Obama to fight for.
