NY Mag's Political Fiction Winners Announced
My friend Matt came in third place for his hilarious take on Dan Quayle’s quest for revenge on Lloyd Bentsen. Read the piece, it’s really great.
After New York ran the Political Fictions Project in its pages a few weeks ago, we asked readers to submit their own versions of invented scenes from the private (or imaginary) lives of politicians. We got a lot of fantastic responses, and have picked the top ones. First prize goes to Dean Borok, who will win a weekend at Washington’s Mayflower Hotel for his “A Wall Street Christmas Carol!” which starred a delightful “Tiny Tim Geithner.” Second place goes to M.W. Donahue for his “Rear Sunroom” β which involves Bill Clinton, some attractive women, and a bunch of tennis balls β and third goes to Matt Sullivan for his βDan Quayle Prepares His Comeback.β
