Satisfaction
I’m watching the Ed Sullivan 60’s rock performances on TV right now, complete with The Beatles and Rolling Stones and The Animals, etc etc. Awesome stuff.
Right now, the Stones’ initial 1966 performance of “(I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction” is being shown. It set off a riot with yearning girls, as well as angry parents, who thought it was far too suggestive for public airwaves.
A few years ago, the Stones played at the Superbowl.
It just makes me wonder what we’ll be thinking is way crazy and unacceptable in 40 years when Adam Lambert and Gaga are the “playing it safe” acts on the biggest TV event in the world.
Makes you just want to tell all the uptight, moralistic concern trolls to just shut the fuck up and get a grip.
