I first fell in love with this song as a montage track in the movie Rushmore. I always understood what it was about, in that I knew the subject matter, but now, reading a Lennon biography, I kinda sorta get it, in that anyone can really understand what John was truly saying.
I just put the book down, body in NJ but mind still half in Liverpool. I’m seeing it from his point of view, and his point of view as my point of view. This song is really hitting hard right now.
