Oh Right. My Health
It’s all well and good to talk about using a blog as a springboard to change the very way we communicate as patients and health professionals, but I should probably give some actual health updates if I want there to be any substance to the sizzle.
Eleven days out of heart surgery, and I’m slowly making progress. Still having back pain, and of course the chest isn’t so good, but I’m trying to push through it. I’m petrified of Percocet addiction, and given my dwindling supply, I’m working to go longer and longer between pills. I’m now up to six hours between doses, whereas I started at intervals of four. Hours five and six kinda suck, but I’m getting through.
I’m now constantly eating, so I may have been impregnated during surgery. The cheddar goldfish species is particularly endangered, and no EPA is getting in my way from completely wiping them out.
I plan on writing more about it soon, but I had my best friends from Brooklyn over last night, which was really welcome and needed and fun. But as good as I felt while with them, I realized I’m not ready for the real world yet — I was absolutely exhausted when they left, and we barely left the couch. I had to put on my best energetic display, and it took a lot out of me. Pathetic, I know.
