Delay
Time never moves so slowly as it does in hospitals. You wake unbelievably early in the morning, then set upon a long day of doing absolutely nothing. Meanwhile, nurses move at glacial paces to get much needed pain killers, which means they’re way more needed when they finally arrive. And that’s if they even remember them in the first place, or hear about them from another nurse.
Time is never slower in hospitals as when you’re waiting to leave. Especially when an old man just had some kind of heart attack. Inconvenient, but I’m doing my best to be sympathetic. Sounds cold, but I really am.
